"The motor macs trophy was presented in 1959 by Motor Mcs (Exeter) Ltd, Standard Triumph Distributors, to the Exeter motor club as a perpetual trophy for the Rally of the Moors. In the four years since its presentation, it has been won by four crews on Triumph Heralds. The present holder being Ray Chamberlain, who also won it last year."
