Info: We had a Triumph Herald in all-over green. It had a handle on the bonnet top for lifting this, I'm sure it was a 948. It was registered XGG 959 and was probably purchased from MacHarg, Rennie and Lindsay in Glasgow where my Dads brother, Ian Hoskins worked. My dad was called Alex.

We went all over the country in that, but on Sundays, Dad used to put a pounds worth of petrol in, it was 4/11 a gallon so that was 4 gallons!! and we would go for a picnic up Loch Lomond. I remember vividly Dad racing a steam train once that was high up on an embankment, we were doing 70!!
